Leon Meyers Building Arts Scholarship

Established in 2023, the Leon Meyers Building Arts Scholarship is awarded to students pursuing an associate degree, diploma or
certificate in Building, Engineering and Skilled Trades programs at Durham Tech. For 40 years, Leon Meyers has relentlessly pursued
excellence in the craft of residential building. A testament to this pursuit, in 2018 he was inducted into the NC Housing Hall of Fame. His
tenacity, forthrightness, generosity and graciousness of spirit are a source of inspiration to those around him. This scholarship was
established in his honor with the hope that it will inspire the next generation of craftsmen and women toward a path of impassioned work,
mentorship and friendship.
